Draped: it’s my favourite fabric trend, because no other can define a woman’s silhouette like this one, they really fit our body.
Neutral colors go best with draped pieces. Draped dresses must be matched with leather coats or trench-coats. Mix draped with plain fabrics, otherwise the look can be too heavy.
High split or asymmetrical dresses, skirts and trench-coats are the best draped pieces.
Burberry Prorsum Spring Collection is the best example I can give you, because it was probably the most “draped collection” I have ever seen. But who doesn’t like the 2.0 draped trench-coat? 🙂
Ruffles: pleated and mousseline are the most seen pieces with ruffles this year. Ruffles are especially used in skirts and dresses, sometimes multilayered. They look perfect matched with tank tops. Nude, white and pink are the most popular colours, confirm it through some photos of the D&G catwalks.
I loved the D&G Spring collection and it represents a lot well the ruflles trend. Even the denim pieces had ruffles.
Valentino, also joined the ruffles mania. I love the dress Abby Lee Kershaw is wearing.
This is not all about Spring/Summer trends. Wait for more in the next days. 🙂
