Fashion in the city – Sarah Jessica Parker for Vogue US

In an issue almost completly dedicated to New York City and it’s important and major figures, Vogue choses a fashion and movies icon to be the cover of the May issue. Not on purpose, the release of  “Sex and the City” sequel is almost here, so who better than Sarah Jessica Parker, to appear on the cover of the magazine in May?

Carrie Bradshaw is, whether you like it or not, the face of the series (and movie) and the most important character and Sarah Jessica Parker has a great influence in the fashion world. She is a fashion victim and, as such, an iconic figure for anyone who is into this world.

A little note about the cover…SJP is a little bit Photoshoped, isn’t she? At a time when women assume their age with less reluctance than before  nd that being young does not seem to be a requirement for many things like it used to be. I believe there was no need to exaggerate and try to reduce the marks of time in her face. I don’t think she is perfect, but she is very well, considering her age(45).

Still I like the fact that she is smiling and luckily she is perfect in the other photos.

During the interview that comes along with the pictures, Sarah talks about her family, her personal life and, of course, the movie which is about to come and her stay in Morocco while she was recording. If you want to, you can find the whole of it at Vogue’s page.
