Karl Lagerfeld takes on “mass elitism”.

Chanel’s designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who usually presents his own collection in Paris cancelled his Spring/Summer 2011 runway show, the 3rd October, because he decided to create a new ready-to-wear collection which will be sold online, and released next fall (2011) whose target audience is… the masses. But not any mass, a luxury one and that’s why the collection was entitled “Masstige“.

His brand will still be sold in Paris and Milan showrooms.
